The G Minor String Trio (1893-94) is a work of Sibelius's mature chamber music period. It was never finished, and the only completed movement, Lento, has been included in this edition. The work is a combination of various forms and in itself traces a symphonic span. Sibelius used a similar one-movement construction in his seventh symphony. This product includes a set of parts (violin, viola, violoncello). The score is available separately (product number M042087701). This edition includes a preface by Kari Kilpeläinen and editorinal comments by Laura Isotalo.
